[It takes longer (and costs a little more) than he'd hoped, but he knew better than to think he'd get very far by just asking. Really, he's lucky he got anything at all. Callaghan could've chosen anywhere in the city to hide, easily leaving half a night of aimless searching absolutely pointless. Most of the people Tadashi talks to are just as wary of him as he is of them, if not outright hostile when he doesn't clear off right away, but his description draws a spark of recognition in one man in particular. A wiry thing with greasy hair and nervous eyes, and Tadashi's careful not to look away as he reaches into his pocket for a bill or two to grease the wheels.
"Yeah, I seen him. Don't remember where. I'm not lookin' to get mixed up with that..."
The man quirks an eyebrow and Tadashi sighs, handing over another bill without looking, knowing he wasn't carrying anything bigger than a ten. The man doesn't seem to take much notice of just what he's getting either, accepting the money and spitting out the information Tadashi needs like a human vending machine.
"Saw him near Yama's place, up on Sycamore. Hey, man, you didn't see me, got it?"
Tadashi barely hears the last question, nodding and thanking his informant out of pure ingrained manners before heading off without looking back. Getting his bearings in such unfamiliar territory isn't easy, but now that he's got a street name to work with it's not long before a smiling woman (he thinks they're a woman?) in very daring clothing gives him decent directions. Sycamore looks a little more inviting than the other streets he's been traveling, if only because it's better lit. A few more streetlights, a lot more neon... and an uncomfortable amount of very tough looking people lingering outside one establishment in particular. Must be Yama's, but now what?
In the end he settles on an exploratory walk-by, hat tugged even lower and his hands jammed in his pockets. Don't look at them, don't draw attention, just peek and listen and get to the other end of the block before deciding what the heck to do next...]
